Alice Newell Joslyn Medical Fund:
Eligibility requires an applicant to be entering the Medical/Health Care profession i.e.; nursing, dental/medical assistant, physical therapist. Applicants must be living or attending a high school or college in San Diego County at the time of application. Eligibility is contingent upon a student’s financial need, scholastic determination, and community/cultural awareness. Scholarships range between $1,000 - $2,000 per academic year. Scholarship recipients may re-apply contingent on scholastic progress.

General Scholarship Fund:
Eligibility requires an applicant to be a 2008, San Diego County high
school graduate who is entering college in the fall, 2008. Scholarships
range between $500 - $1000. Eligible applicants may pursue their
education anywhere in the United States, and pursue any profession.

BECA - CSUSM Scholarship:
Scholarship for Latino Students enrolled at CSU San Marcos in Spring
2008 and fall 2008.
APPLICATION AND SELECTION PROCESS
With the cooperation of San Diego County school districts, the community
and the BECA website, the Scholarship Committee identifies candidates
for scholarship and award considerations. Applications are distributed
in January and may be accessed via the Web site www.becafoundation.org.

Suite B, Escondido, CA, 92025; Tele No. (760)741-8246. The deadline
is March 3, 2008. The Committee will screen and evaluate all the
applications. The selection process is based on a combination of
factors. For example, individual’s need and merit, their GPA and their
involvement in the community. Final Candidates will be asked to appear
for a formal interview. Recipients will be chosen and notified.
